Education and guidance by subject
Career education and guidance is most effective when it is an integral part of school life. This can be achieved in several ways. Career education and guidance can be at the heart of the pastoral care system, it can enhance a school-based curriculum and can give relevance to subject content.
Curriculum learning areas provide rich teaching and learning opportunities for career education. When career topics and concepts are highlighted within classroom teaching and learning, students develop student career management competencies in a meaningful context.
